Probably a scout if it gets approved. Maybe a spellcaster if nobody else takes it up. But Tom says if I play a bard I can make a mix CD. I don't know if that's encouragement or discouragement though...

For what it's worth, I'd rather see a Dragon Shaman than another wizard or rogue.

whatever: A scout is fine. So long as your bard's soundtrack is provided, I'd rather see a Bard than a scout, but a scout is fine.

I'm using a Half-Orc Greataxe weilding Illiterate Barbarian. Not much for originality, I know, but I worked it out like this.

I wanted to play a Melee Barbarian, so I picked Half-Orc for the Strength bonus and the Greataxe for its damage and x3 Crit. I wasn't big in the intelligence department, so I figured why waste skill points to become literate? And I thought it would be great for roleplaying.

Dwarf Artificer

Soooo want to be Artificer, but, what, wizard a close alternative if no Artificer?

My best idea right now is Druid with a drug problem... so yea.

Mike, I think you'd be better off with an artificer unless you're prepared to experience much more bullshit than the other characters.

This is because artificers require more down time to make items and have a lot more crap to pack and worry about. In other words, it'll be more difficult due to the format of the campaign, due to the lack of downtime between adventures and the constant moving.

HOWEVER, there is much to be said for the idea of a traveling tinker, lugging around all his crap and purveying minor magics at every hamlet and thorpe.
