Sunday

Hey, it's Frosh. I thought I said it last Sunday, but oh well. I am planning on heading back home this weekend, and I do not expect to be back in time to conduct a roleplaying session. I apologize, and will try and make it up for a better seesion next time.

D'oh!

Well, I need to study for a math test anyway, so no biggie.

James, how does this impact your plans this weekend? Will you be staying longer in Dale City now that there's no D&D session to run back to Richmond for?

I might stay later sunday, but will still come back sunday evening. so if you want to come along I would welcome the company.

Now time for the really annoying news. I am not going to be able to make it to origins. Turns out that thursday and friday are orientations days for the summer school program I am going to be working at this summer. I can't miss them if I want the job, and I need the job. I can't tell you how completely this sucks, specially since I know gen con is out. I am really sorry tom...

Wow. Double D'oh and a dinger.

My friend, it's okay. You really don't even have to apologize, because I know in my heart that you really, really want to go and wouldn't back out for anything that wasn't absolutely necessary.

Over the semester, everyone has had to sacrifice geeky fun time to their other responsibilities. Frosh has Church, Robin has work, I have to too much schoolwork, and you have grading. The story of this semester is the one where everybody puts college gaming into a more reasonable place in their crowded lives.

It had to happen, right?

I'll talk it over with Bob and Cathy, but I might not go myself if you don't, James. I don't really have the money, anyway, and I'm going on a few very nice trips already. And I'll call you later about Friday. I'd like to play another game of A&A.

You, James Self, are a big asshole. You got me better than anyone has ever gotten me before. I won't delete my comment to destroy the evidence.

Truly you are a good sport! It is then soo unfortunate that you are destined to lose so bad at Axis and Allies.

Man, this post has had more twists and turns than a novel. I laughed. I cried.

I'm going home this weekend too, but I will be back like around 3-4 if you guys wanna do something board-game wise. This may be subject to change though, because my sister is coming with me and I have not talked to her about her plans yet.

I'm looking forward to whatever April-Foolsish thing James is running.

Also, I would like to run a one-shot game just one night in the time we have left. Simply because most likely these next few weeks are going to be the last time I do any tabletop roleplaying a long while. Tres sad.

Looks like we've got two more Sundays with you, Robin. Would you like to DM on the 12th and then James can run Fool's Grove on the 19th?

I don't care what we do after that, but I plan on starting a summer game in Fredericksburg as soon as school ends during the 2nd week of May (tentative date: Sunday, May 10, subject to group logistics)

Fool's Grove requires two sets of Dungeon Tiles 4 ruins of the wild, might you have that tom? if now I will see what I can find.

I have one coming in the mail and was thinking of ordering another if I can find it in the 10-15 dollar range (apparently DT sellers have ot a case of the internet crazies and think their tiles are worth 40 bucks each).

The 12th is fine unless James would rather do his game earlier. I'm also up for running the game on a Tuesday if I have to, but I am sure that Tom and Frosh are going to be pretty busy with school coming to a close.

I don't have anything in particular plan, but I have an idea for a VonEinstein-centric adventure that will bring the whole thing full circle and probably be very confusing since It would consist of interacting with alot of different versions of VonEinstein.

Maybe when you guys start the Fredricksburg game I can come down every so often on a Saturday or something just to hang out. Anyhoo, I'm about to head home. If you guys wanna do something like Sunday evening-ish I will most likely be back later in the day. Just give me a call or a text. If I don't hear anything by like Saturday night I'm just going to let my sister decide when to head back up here.

Have a scientific weekend!

I'd definitely like to wrap up the Von Einstein thing. Also, you mentioned writing some fanfic. I think it would be great to somehow integrate the two.

Well start on the 12th. I can't wait!

I have no idea what's in store for this weekend. Best play it by ear. Also, I can't stay in Richmond on Tuesday, so that's out.
